Seidenstücker (1964) , Rider (2006) , Péricart (2010) . Redescription. Body generally yellowish brown, with deep punctures ( Figures 12 . a, b, c). Head with black spot, lateral part of mandibular plates slightly concave Median length of head longer than diatone ( Figure 12 . d). Antennae without conspicuous setae ( Figure 12 . e). Antennal segment 1st does not extend to apex of head. Proximal part of antennal segment 2nd sometimes black. Rostrum yellowish brown, apical segment black and reach hind coxae. Thoracic pleuron yellowish brown and with punctures. Distal part of pronotum with transverse groove. Distal part of humeral process of pronotum ovale and rarely black. Proximal part of scutellum yellowish brown or black, dorsum, venter, spiracles and legs yellowish brown. Connexivum yellow and same colour as the surface, with punctures, connexival yellow tubercles developed, however tubercles of this species shorter than tubercles of V. armeniacus . Scutellum surpassing apex of abdomen in male and reaching in female. Male genitalia : Ventral side of pygophore yellow, medial region of ventral rim of pygophore with small concavity and several hairs. Superior process with pits ( Figure 12 . g, h). Apical part of paramere strongly dilated, middle part broadly hollow, basal part dilated, narrowing to distal part ( Figure 12 . i). FIGURE 12. Female genitalia : Gonocoxites gibbous, 8th gonocoxite yellowish brown, 8th and 9th gonapophyses whitish yellow ( Figure 12 . f). Measurements in millimetres of 3 and (Ƥ): Males (n=2) female (n=1). Length of head 1.70 (2.00), width 1.80 (2.00), interocular distance 1.30 (1.50), lengths of antennal segments I, II, III, IV and V, 0.50 (0.55), 0.70 (0.80), 0.40 (0.45), 0.60 (0.70) and 0.75 (0.80), width of pronotum with distal part of humeral process 5.80 (6.50); width of abdomen 4.75 (5.30); total length of body 7.10 (7.50). Material examined. Turkey : Konya, Meram, 22.IV.1960 , 6Ƥ, 53 ( holotype and paratype ) (leg. Seidenstücker), ( ZSMC ); Giresun, Şebinkarahisar, 09.VIII.2007 , 1123m, 2Ƥ (leg. A. Dursun). Distribution. Asia: Armenia , Azerbaijan , Turkey (Asian part) ( Rider 2006 ). Distribution in Turkey . Konya ( Seidenstücker (1964) ; Aydın, Denizli, Muġla Önder et al . (2006) . Comments. This Ponto-Mediterranean species was identified by Seidenstücker, (1964) in the region surrounding Konya in the plant Noea mucronata . This species is of restricted distribution, it has only been reported in Turkey and the Caucasus ( Rider 2006 ; Pẻricart 2010). All specimens collected by Seidenstücker in Central Anatolia ( Turkey ) are yellowish brown. In specimens from the Black Sea region head, humeral processes of pronotum and basal part of scutellum are black ( Figure 12 . c).
