Diagnosis : A new species of Theriosynoecum with the following peculiarities: carapace approximately irregular trapeziform in lateral outline. The posterior ventral margin is accompanied by a thick fold-like valve-swelling which extends beyond the actual valve margins and forms a broad ventral surface. Shell surface with comparatively weak, net-like fine sculpture. Holotype : Carapace ♀ , BfB 7829. Paratype : Carapace ♂ , BfB 7830. Dimensions: ♀ Holotype , length 0.90mm , height 0.56mm , width 0.68mm . Dimensions: ♂ Paratype , length 0.90mm , height 0.55mm , width 0.55mm .
