Phaneropterops Piza, 1971 syn. nov. of Tomeophera Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1878. The genus Phaneropterops is only compared to Phaneropteroides Piza, 1971 , another of the three new genera described in the same paper, and which looks entirely different (similar to Phaneroptera ). Piza’s male specimen from southeastern Brazil is very similar to species of the genus Tomeophera , and coincides in details of fastigium, pronotum shape, tegmina venation and cerci, as well as with measurements, with the male holotype of T. modesta , also described from Brazil .
