Identification.
Plants firm and resistant when dry, frag- ile in herbarium, whitish to light yellow, rarely branched, sometimes with pink or purple at te bases of leaves; leaves curved, ligulate; apex apiculate. Briocenological group: corticolous.

Apex of leaves obtuse; costa with constriction in transverse section of base of leaves. Briocenological group: saxicolous.

AC, AL, AM, AP, BA, CE, ES, GO, MA, MG, MS, MT, PA, PE, RJ, RO, RR, SC, SP, TO (broadly distributed). Newly recorded from the Cerrado.
