Diagnosis
.
Lepidophora lutea
is similar to
L. lepidocera
(see diagnosis of
L. lepidocera
) but differs in having notopleuron with long white hairs; femur I with short and spatulate white scales on dorsal surface; tibia II with longitudinal row of bristles on anterodorsal, posterodorsal, posteroventral and anteroventral surfaces; abdominal tergite III with long brown hairs; abdominal segment IV with short yellow or yellowish white scales laterally; and abdominal segment V with tuft of long and spatulate yellow, yellowish white, or white scales laterally.
