Neu-guinea [p, hw, s, bf] || ZMH 823535 [w, bf, sf]” (ZMH). Current Status. Unavailable infrasubspecific name. Remarks. Spaeth (1909a) proposed this name as a variety of a subspecies, therefore as a fourth name, which is hence infrasubspecific and unavailable. According to Article 45.6.4 ( ICZN 1999 ), a name that is infrasubspecific is deemed to be subspecific from its original publication if, before 1985, it was either adopted as the valid name of a species or subspecies or was treated as a senior homonym. The name was subsequently mentioned twice, once as a subvariety ( Spaeth 1913b: 448 ) and then as an aberration ( Spaeth 1914b: 72 ).Neither of these acts can be considered as validation of the name, as they are also infrasubspecific entities.
