XIII, fig. 16. Material. 5 specimens (3 C, 2 V ). Description. Medium-sized elongated sub-cylindrical carapace, symmetric in lateral view and rather inflated in dorsal view. Slight overlap of the larger LV over the RV on the whole outline, more pronounced anteriorly and posteriorly. Hmax median; Lmax at 1/3 ventral; Wmax at mid-length, slightly ventral. Almost straight (very slightly convex) dorsal margin. Almost straight (very slightly concave) ventral margin. Ventral and dorsal margins parallel. Well rounded anterior margin, regularly convex in its dorsal part, becoming more arched in its ventral part and forming an angle of about 110° with ventral margin. Well rounded posterior margin, regularly convex in its dorsal part, becoming more arched in its ventral part and then forming an angle of about 130° with ventral margin. Anterior and posterior margins rather symmetrical. Surface smooth. Discussion. Although the general morphology is close from Cytherellina ? dubia ( Kummerow, 1953 ) , and especially from the specimens figured by Coen (1985) , the specimens from the Candás Fm differ from this species by a more elongated carapace and a straighter dorsal margin. Occurrences. Middle Givetian (Candás Fm, mbs A and B), Asturias (Peran-Perlora section).
