Description.
Medium-sized equivalve carapace, truncated circular outline in lateral view, flat and slightly biconvex in dorsal view, almost symmetrical both, in lateral and dorsal views. Hmax median; Lmax at 2/5 dorsal; Wmax slightly dorsal. Straight hinge line and dorsal margin. Posterior cardinal angle of about 120°. Anterior cardinal angle of about 135°. From there, regularly convex free margins, describing a perfect circle. Carapace flattened around the cardinal angles. Surface punctuated.
Discussion.
These specimens may belong to
F. crumena
(
Kummerow, 1953
)
, however, none of them is complete and surface is punctuate, not smooth.
Occurrence.
Middle Givetian (Candás Fm, mb B), Asturias (Peran-Perlora section).
