Differential diagnosis.
Similar to
O. madagascarensis
, but differ in having more rounded elytra, 15 elytral striae, a characteristic green metallic tinge on the head, pronotum and elytra, less rounded hind angles of the pronotum, and different endophallus structure.
Redescription

. Habitus (

Color: head, pronotum, and elytra rufopiceous. Dark green pattern on posterior and lateral parts of head, central portion of pronotum, and elytra with a metallic hue. Legs and antennae dark brown. Mandibles dark rufopiceous. Venter, excluding epipleura, dark rufopiceous. Proepipleura and elytral epipleura dark brown.
Head moderately flat, coarsely punctate laterally and posteriorly, sparsely punctate around clypeus and on middle of frons, with punctures deep and with their sides distinctly margined. Frons faintly wrinkled around eyes. Pale pattern on head V-shaped and well-developed. Clypeus with small wrinkles, bisetose. Labrum slightly emarginate, with six setae. Subocular ridge well developed and sinuate. Antennal scape unisetose at apex, antennomeres 3 and 4 with 4–6 setae. HW:

Pronotum (PW:
2.72–2.81 mm
.) moderately convex, transverse, base bisinuate, sides slightly rounded, hind angles nearly acute. Apex, base, and middle of disc densely and coarsely punctate. Sides of disc sparsely punctate, with larger and deeper punctures. Reflexed margin wide, margined and with just a few large punctures. Median line almost obsolete. Prosternum coarsely and irregularly punctate. Punctuation on the sides of prosternum and proepisterna coarser and deeper. Prosternal plate distinctly and broadly margined laterally.PL:

) moderately convex, ovate, sides hardly widened behind shoulders, with reflexed border much narrower than that of the pronotum. Elytra with 15 striae, distinct from base to more than two-thirds of the elytral length, evanescent to the apex. Striae deep, punctures deeply impressed, intervals moderately convex and smooth, more convex and narrower laterally.
Venter (

). Metasternum coarsely and irregularly punctate. Punctures on the sides of the metepisternum coarser and deeper. Metacoxae bisetose.
