Comments. The specimens were collected in north and western Tunisia in different habitat types , from lowland to high altitudes, in freshwater with muddy bottoms and rich in aquatic vegetation. It was first recorded from Tunisia by Ferrari (1884) . Distribution. It occurs in Palearctic region (Polhemus 1995; Carapezza 1997 ; Fent et al. 2011 ).
