Acrotylus insubricus (Scopoli, 1786) Diagnostic characters: Body of medium size, pronotum saddle shaped and shorter than width, eyes somewhat bulging, tegmina with infuscated spots beyond middle, hind wings with lunate incomplete fascia. Material examined: 1 female , 9.vii.2009 , on paddy, Sitamarhi. Morphometry: (length in mm). Female: Body 26.0, Tegmina 20.35, Hind femur 7.7. Pronotum 2.8. Remarks: It has been found damaging rice and millet in India . Natural enemies: No natural enemies have been recorded. Distribution: Andhra Pradesh , Bihar , Goa, Maharashtra , Rajasthan , Tamil Nadu , Uttar Pradesh .
