In Manitoba, Canifa larvae have been found under the bark of dead poplar ( Pollock 2002b ). Adults are found on foliage and vegetation in forested environments. In Nova Scotia , commonly found in both coniferous ( Picea rubens ., P. mariana , and Pinus strobus ) and deciduous forests.
