Natural history notes.
This species can be identified by its olive-green body dorsally and white ventral surface; black stripes present at the sides of the posterior body and tail. The species was found sleeping on a twig (3 m height above the ground) during a rainy night at about 2100 hr.
Distribution.
This species was reported from Pahang and Johor (
MyBis 2021
). In the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, this species is reported to be widely distributed in Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, and southern Thailand, south of the Isthmus of Kra. As far as we know, this new record extends its distribution range further north in the northeastern part of Peninsular Malaysia.
