Hydrobiol. Suppl. 405. Diagnosis. Males of A . javanica have the pygophore with a truncate tip ( Fig. 28 ). Further, the male profemur of A . javanica can be distinguished from those of consubgeners known from the Phetchabun Mountain Range by having only a single hair patch ( Fig. 14 ), whereas males of the other species have either two or three distinct hair patches. Discussion. Amemboa javanica has been recorded from Indonesia , Laos , Malaysia , Thailand , and Vietnam ( Polhemus & Andersen 1984 ; Zettel & Chen 1996 , 1997 ; Cheng et al. 2001 ; Zettel et al. 2007). In Thailand , this species has been collected from Chiang Mai, Kanchanaburi, Khon Kaen, Phetchabun, Phetchaburi, Phrae, Prachin Buri, and Saraburi provinces ( Polhemus & Andersen 1984 ; Vitheepradit 2000 ). In the Phetchabun Mountain Range, this species was collected from the margins of streams and rock pools. Material examined.
