Features : Length 90–123 μm, width 4–5 μm, fibulae 7–9 in μm 10, striae 16–18 in 10 μm. Description : Valves linear lanceolate, sigmoid with long rostrate apices. Raphe eccentric, fibulae unevenly spaced, the two centric fibulae are more spaced. Ecology and Distribution: A widespread brackish water species. Previously reported from the Gulf ( Hendey 1970 , Al-Yamani & Saburova 2011). Frequent in Basra corals.
