This species can be diagnosed by the following combination of characters, including coloration. The antennal scrobe is not carinate. It lacks a median pit filled with setae on sternum II. The dorsum of the metasoma is clothed entirely with red setae, from the apical half of tergum II. Setae of the head and mesosoma are black. The integument is entirely black. Female . Unknown. Distribution . USA ( New Mexico , Texas ); Mexico ( Coahuila , Nuevo Leon , Tamaulipas ). Remarks . This species is known only from the male. It has a very localized distribution, although it is relatively common where found. Approximately a hundred specimens of this species have been examined.
