South African distribution
: The Orange River (NP) to
Cape
Point (WC).
Remarks
: This species also occurs in the North Atlantic, but its distribution north of
South Africa
is patchy. Morphological and molecular comparison of specimens from
South Africa
and the North Atlantic may confirm if it is the same species or if they are different.
Conservation status
: LC (2020).
