Remarks.
The original description of
C. verticalis
was based on at least one specimen labeled from Cuba (
Burmeister 1847
). This Cuban locality has been reported by a few authors (
Burmeister 1847
,
Chevrolat 1865
,
Blackwelder 1944
), but
C. verticalis
does not occur in Cuba or the West Indies more broadly (
Ratcliffe and Cave 2015
).
