The genus can be recognized by the following characters: antenna simple, an extended scape in the male antenna; ocellus and chaetosema present; labial palpus slender, always upturned, tapered at 3 rd segment; forewing usually dark brown at basal area and postmedial line undulating and arched. In the male genitalia, uncus usually elongated, rounded apex, covered with hairs; gnathos joined distally, hooked apex; valva elongated, curved inwardly, with hairs along outer margin or covered; juxta developed, variously shaped. In the female genitalia, papillae anales triangular, covered with hairs; ductus bursae with usually sclerotized part at basally ( Kim et al . 2021 ; Rong & Li 2017 ; Solis & Mitter 1992 ).
