Feuillet 757 ; CAY [ CAY218098 , CAY218099 , CAY218100 ] . DISTRIBUTION. — Coastal dunes throughout Northern South America from Colombia to French Guiana , and several southern Caribbean Islands. NOTE This species is sometimes recognized as a variety of P. foetida , but differs in its velutinous vegetative vestiture and simpler (e.g., usually once-pinnatisect) involucral bracts.
