Body length 4.9–5.6 mm , fore wing length 4.0– 4.2 mm and antenna length approximately 8.0 mm. Antenna with 54–56 flagellomeres. Terminal flagellomere acuminate. Median flagellomeres slightly more than 2 x longer than wide. Occipital carina complete mediodorsally, forming a angle medially, ventrally joining hypostomal carina. Mesopleuron largely aciculate, anterodorsally rugose, precoxal sulcus moderately impressed, coarsely rugose, specular area with reduced acucular sculpture. Midlongitudinal propodeal carina complete. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 1.35 x 1-CU1. Apex of fore wing subbasal cell with lozenge-shaped glabrous zone. Fore wing vein 3-SR 1.8 x vein r. Fore wing vein 2-SR+M 0.85 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2.37 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.2 x 1-M. Hind wing subbasal cell glabrous. Hind wing vein m-cu short, not tubular, pigmented, slightly antefurcal. Apex of hind tibia with a comb of specialised adpressed setae medially and ventrally. Claws with pecten of 7 or 8 long, fine, pale brown teeth on basal lobe, these splaying and distinctly separated, and the penultimate ones longest. Basal lobes of 1 st tergite moderately produced, convex anteriorly concave posteriorly. 3 rd metasomal tergite largely acicular-coriaceous, finely faintly longitidinally striate on basal half, with weak but distinct midlongitudinal carina on anterior 0.8 of tergum. Antenna with terminal 16–17 flagellomeres white. Etymology. Latin for shaved in reference to the setae-less hind wing basal cell.
