Gertsch collector ( AMNH ). EXAMINED . Etymology: The specific name is an adjective in apposition taken from the Latin in reference to the heavily tuberculate cymbium. Diagnosis: Males are diagnosed from all Agyneta species by their tricorn dorsal cymbial tubercle and their large ventral tubercle with protuberance ( Fig. 370 , arrow). Females are diagnosed from all Agyneta by their narrow, triangular epigynal slits ( Fig. 373 ). For differentiation from A. crista see diagnosis of the latter. CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace orange, shiny, finely reticulate; lightly suffused with gray along margin, radiating lines; trident mark sometimes present. Sternum suffused with dark gray. Clypeus height 2. Chelicerae orange, apical part lighter, excavated; ~15 seta-tipped tubercles; promargin three denticles, retromargin two tiny denticles. Cheliceral stridulatory organ visible ~58 striae well spaced, getting closer basally. ABDOMEN: Uniformly light to dark gray. Cymbium triangular; glabrous depression present ( Fig. 368 ); dorsal cymbial tubercle with two rounded tip, carinated and smooth; ventral tubercle long, smooth and rounded, with extra process basally ( Figs 369, 370 ); prolateral notch medium ( Fig. 369 ). Paracymbium apical pocket medium, anterior pocket long making a large cover, posterior pocket absent ( Fig. 368 ). Embolus tip wide and pointed, with wide and dentate, prong; ventrally rugose; Fickert’s gland absent; ventral lamella transparent, spiny; thumb reaching over embolus proper ( Fig. 371 ). Embolus proper set apically, dorsal part slightly larger ( Fig. 371 ). Anterior terminal apophysis narrow with short protrusions; posterior terminal apophysis narrow, with one small point midway and one small spur basally ( Fig. 372 arrow); lamella characteristica wide, well sclerotized with numerous short spines, one large prong medially and rounded tip ( Fig. 372 ). Female : Total length 1.97; carapace length 0.92, width 0.60. CEPHALOTHORAX: Coloration as male. Chelicerae orange; promargin five teeth, retromargin three denticles. Cheliceral stridulatory organ visible ~50 striae, narrowly spaced throughout. ABDOMEN: Same as male. LEGS: Same as male; palpal segment slightly suffused with gray, tarsal claw absent; leg I total length: 3.13; leg III total length: 2.20; Tm I: 0.20, Tm IV absent.
