( Figs 17–25 , 139 , 148 , 157 , 166 ) Type material. Holotype , 3 ( NWAFU ), China : Mt. Gongga, Mengla County, Yunnan Prov., 5 Nov. 1999 , coll. Irena Dworakowska. Length. 3 4.9 mm. FIGURES 17–25. Empoasca ( Matsumurasca ) biprocessa Qin and Liu , sp. nov. , 17, male pygofer, lateral view; 18, ventral pygofer appendage; 19, anal tube and anal styli; 20, subgenital plate, lateral view; 21, aedeagus, lateral view; 22, same, vental view; 23, connective; 24, paramere; 25, abdominal apodemes. Color. Vertex yellowish green, with longitudinal creamy patch along coronal suture not reaching anterior margin, between eyes with small creamy streak sublaterally at each side of vertex. Eyes brown, ocelli surrounded by creamy patch mesocaudad. Face sordid yellow basally adorned with 3 irregular creamy patches, rest of the frontoclypeal area yellowish green, anteclypeus and genae green. Pronotum mostly greenish, with irregular creamy patches along anterior margin and arcuate area behind eyes; scutellum with quadrate creamy patch antero-mesally and apicad of scutoscutellar sulcus with a semicircular creamy patch. Forewing yellow green, fore- and hindwing subhyaline. Abdomen yellow. Legs yellow to sordid yellow. Abdominal apodemes surpassing midlength of segment IV ( Fig. 25 ). Male pygofer elongated and quadrangular in outline, with about 9 stout setae on each side; ventral pygofer appendage exceeding caudal margin of pygofer lobe, slightly sinuate and tapering apically to pointed apex ( Figs 17, 18 ). Subgenital plate far exceeding pygofer, margin of plate slightly broadened in apical 2/5, with about 26 marginal microsetae, 25–27 long lateral macrosetae and fine microsetae arranged in 2–3 irregular rows ( Fig. 20 ). Paramere with 7 apical teeth preceeded by about 6–7 setae and few sensory pits ( Fig. 24 ). Aedeagal shaft S-shaped, in lateral view slightly longer than preatrium, broad basally and narrowing terminally, with pair of ventroapical processes directed basolaterad in ventral aspect, dorsal apodeme of aedeagus short ( Figs 21, 22 ). Connective lamellate, caudal margin incised medially ( Fig. 23 ). Anal tube process lamellate in side aspect, broad at base, apical part sinuate and abruptly tapering to pointed apex ( Fig. 19 ). Female. Unknown. Etymology. The new species name alludes to the paired processes of the aedeagal shaft. Discussion. Empoasca ( M. ) biprocessa sp. nov. is similar to E. ( M. ) dentalis sp. nov. , but differs from the latter as follows: aedeagal shaft S-shaped, slightly longer than preatrium in lateral view, ventro-distally with pair of processes which directed laterad in ventral aspect; anal tube process lamellate in side aspect, broad at base, apical part sinuate and abruptly tapering to pointed apex.
