Shan Hills, east of the town of Ava [Shan Hills, Kyaukse District, Mandalay Region, Myanmar]. Type material. Syntype NHMUK 1903.7.1.4198 (1 shell; Fig. 2C). Remarks. The species was clearly based on two specimens, one dead and one alive. The original description did not include an illustration and only one set of measurements was given. Subsequently, Hanley and Theobald (1875) figured a specimen of this species. The single specimen in the NHM from the Godwin-Austen collection, ex. WT Blanford collection and figured in Hanley and Theobald (1875) is figured herein.
