This is a mainly widespread Eurasian species but has been recorded also from Morocco , Canary Islands and U.S.A. ( Yoshizawa & Lienhard 2010 ). Notes. Bisexual species. Very often woodland ( Lienhard 1990 , 1998 ). It is species mostly associated with bird and mammal nests, also found in anthills and under bark.
