An Australasian species with one record in the Oriental Zoogeographic Region , all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Diprotodontia : Macropodidae , but they have also been recovered from Diprotodontia : Phascolarctidae . Adults and nymphs have been collected from Artiodactyla : Bovidae , Carnivora : Canidae , Peramelemorphia : Peramelidae , and Perissodactyla : Equidae . Adults and larvae have been taken from Dasyuromorphia : Dasyuridae ; adult ticks alone have been found on Artiodactyla : Suidae , and Carnivora : Felidae ; immature stages have been recovered from Diprotodontia : Phalangeridae and Potoroidae , and Cuculiformes : Cuculidae . Haemaphysalis bancrofti is a sporadic parasite of humans.
