Grokhovskaya and Hoe (1968) record large numbers collected from a ram in Khadong, Vietnam , but this is doubtful based on the host preferences of this species. The male and female are described and illustrated in Kaufman (1972, as Aponomma crassipes ) . Descriptions of the nymph and larva are in Roubaud and Colas-Belcour (1935) .
