Galápagos hosts: Oceanodroma tethys tethys (Bonaparte, 1852) ; Oceanodroma castro (Harcourt, 1851) . Galápagos localities: Isla Plaza; Islote Corona del Diablo (near Isla Floreana); at sea, 70 miles SW from the archipelago. Galápagos reference: This paper. Other significant references: Price et al . (2003: 92) ; Palma (2010: 195, 214). Material examined: 8 males , 13 females and 4 nymphs (6 samples, MONZ ) . Remarks: This is the first record of Austromenopon oceanodromae from the Galápagos Islands . Austromenopon oceanodromae has been recorded from four species of Oceanodroma , including the two host species from the Galápagos Islands ( Price et al . 2003: 92 ).
