Type species. Arcoscalpellum spinum Newman & Ross, 1998 . Composition. Five species. Distribution. Worldwide. Known depth range 535 to 4540 m . Remarks. Vertebroscalpellum was originally established as a subgenus of Arcoscalpellum Hoek, 1907 and was raised to generic level by Young (2007) .
