Identification.
Hyaline axillary nodules in stem absent; leaves with unistratose limbidium, not confluent with costa.
Fissidens bryoides
resembles
F. crispus
Mont.
by the format of the leaves and limbidium, but the presence of hyaline axillary nodules and large cells in
F. crispus
differentiates these species. Briocenological group: sax- icolous and terricolous.
