Sasa, June 22, Swezey;
Piti, Sept. 3, at light, Swezey; Talofofo, Nov. 18, reared from spiny amaranth, Swezey.
Very widely distributed in southern Asia to
Japan
, and to Australian regions,
Samoa
,
Fiji
, Marquesas, and Hawaii. Recorded in
Guam
as a beet pest by Fullaway in 1911. We found its caterpillars abundant on spiny amaranth.
Apanteles gumnensis
