DISTRIBUTION. A species with a disjunct range.
Darevskia

pontica

occurs in the Balkans, the western part of the range. South
Russia
and W Transcaucasia are inhabited by the nominotypical subspecies. Populations from SE
Azerbaijan
and N
Iran
were assigned to a distinct subspecies,
D. p. hyrcanica
Tuniyev, Doronin, Kidov & Tuniyev, by
Tuniyev
et al.
(2011)
.
