Longidorus Micoletzky, 1922 spp.— {63, 68, 69} (0, 0, 0, 27; 4 ) Population structure and abundance. Juvenile specimen and female at site 63, single juvenile individuals at the other sites. Ecology and distribution. Representatives of this genus (about 150 species) are terrestrial ectoparasites of plant root systems, sporadically occurring in water bodies ( Andrássy 2009b ). In the course of our studies of Vietnam’s meiobenthos, Longidorus specimens were recovered exclusively from small forest brooks. Remarks. Only one identified species of this genus, L. pisi Edward, Mishra & Singh, 1964 and one unidentified species have been registered from aquatic biotopes in Vietnam ( Gagarin & Nguyen 2005a ; Nguyen & Nguyen 2005 ). We have not conclusively identified the specimens we collected.
