Opinion: There is no evidence that this species occurs in the region. Justification: Literature analysis : This species was originally described from off Nova Scotia, and Grasshoff (1973) reported its occurrence in the Mediterranean. Kumar et al . (2017: PY-B) just listed it as occurring in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Gulf of Mannar with no supporting evidence.
