Type material. Holotype : CASIZ 0 21022, 20 July 1899, 20.0 mm preserved length, Mr. Greeley col. Type locality. Riacho Doce, Alagoas state, Brazil . Geographical distribution. Brazil : Alagoas state: Riacho doce (MacFarland, 1909). Remarks. Discodoris voniheringi MacFarland, 1909 was described from Brazil based on a single specimen, and it was regarded as nomen dubium by Dayrat (2010) after examination of type material. The long, but general description presented by MacFarland (1909) does not allow distinguishing this species from other species of the genus Discodoris , even after this revision. We agree with the position of Dayrat (2010).
