Of the two very similar mainland species,
A. atrata
seems to be restricted to the alpine region, whereas
A. subapicalis
may reach north into
Queensland
and in the south certainly reaches west to the Grampians. The two Tasmanian species can be identified based on morphology only (Theischinger 2002, 2012).
