Material in revised collection: Report of this species “Tetele, 12.08.1973 ( 1 ex. , leg. V .Pūtele)” ( Pūtele 1974 ) was misidentified and relate to C. pusillus Fabricius, 1777 . Host plants: Salix , Quercus, Rosa (Lopatin, Nesterova 2005). General distribution: Europe (excl. N), Caucasus, Sayans, Kazakhstan. Note: Probably, other report of this species by V . Pūtele ( Pūtele 1984 ) from Slītere National Park were based also on misidentification. Occurrence of this species in Latvian fauna is doubtful, therefore it is excluded from the list of Latvian Coleoptera . The nearest known localities of this species are in Poland ( Warchałowski 1991 ; A. Warchałowski pers. comm.) and southern Belarus ( Lopatin, Nesterova 2005 )
