Diagnosis

). Prostomium conical, pointed, peristomium with 1 achaetous ring. Branchiae from chaetiger 5–20. Posterior thoracic chaetigers with postchaetal papillae (2–many) and subpodial papillae (3–many), usually forming ventral encircling fringe of 5 or more papillae. Thoracic neurochaetae including uncini or subuluncini, and crenulated capillaries; neuropodial modified spines absent; forked chaetae and flail chaetae present or absent in abdominal parapodia.
