From the Rothschild Collection. COMMENTS: In the original description, the data given for the type, said to be in the Rothschild Collection, applied to three speci- mens. Hartert (1928a: 206) listed the type of kakamegae as Turner’s specimen no. 1208, thereby designating it the lectotype . Van Someren (1921: 113) gave the range of kakamegae as ‘‘North Kavirondo and Nandi , Yala River , Kaimosi, and Nandi Escarpment.’’ There are four specimens from the Rothschild Collection that are paralectotypes : van Someren Collection, Kisumu , AMNH 689389 , male, 17 June 1915 ; collected by Turner, Kakamegoes, AMNH 689390 (Turner no. 1152), male, 11 February 1917 , AMNH 689391 (1206), male, 15 February 1917 , AMNH 689393 (1207), male, 15 February 1917 .
