COMMENTS:
Mathews
cited his catalog number of the
holotype
in the original description and gave the range of
melvillensis
as
Melville Island
. The
holotype
bears, in addition to
Rogers’
label,
Mathews
and
Rothschild
type labels.
Mathews (1912b: 26)
noted that
Rogers
had forwarded to him two collections from
Melville Island
;
these included specimens collected in 1911.
