Diagnosis.
Large
Hyalopeplus
(total length
9.6 mm
, maximal width across hemelytra
2.6 mm
). Globally “citrine to yellow with glassy hemelytra” (
Carvalho & Gross, 1979
) and frequently with reddish or blackish stripes; embolium and cuneus reddish. Pronotal collar transversally striate, with seven dark brown longitudinal stripes. Pronotal callosities wide, not widely punctate. Pronotal disk transversally striate on a major part of the disk, its transversal black fascia reaching posterior margin and covering humeral angles.
