Etymology.
This epithet is taken from the Latin adjective
pilosum
, meaning hairy, and refers to the long pubescence present on the head, pronotum and elytra of this species.
Remarks.
Distinguishable by the long pubescence and the form of the spermatheca which is smaller than all others studied.
