Antenna and arista brown, tip of postpedicel rounded. Palpus brown. Thorax. Scutum grey pollinose, with 3 brown vittae, not fused behind suture. Dorsocentrals 1+4. Intraalars 0+1. Lower katepisternal present and closer to the posterior seta. Haltere yellow. Calypters white. Legs. Fore tibia without a posterior seta. Mid femur with 2 preapical setae, 1 posterior and 1 posterodorsal. Mid tibia with 1 median posterior seta. Hind tibia with 1 median anterodorsal and 1 submedian anteroventral setae, both short; without a posterodorsal. Arolium and pulvillus enlarged. Wing. Smoky brown. Costal spine indistinct. Abdomen. Sternite 1 bare. Terminalia not enlarged. Remarks. This species can be identified with the key by Stein (1911) .
