Alpestria Type indication:—“Typus: Holotypus im h Doll / Locus typicus: Malowitza-Hütte, 2400 m . 16. 7. 76. Doll“; also Plate LXXV: „ Taraxacum malowitzum Doll sp. nov. Holotypus ”. Type :— Flora von Bulgarien , Rila-Gebirge , Malowitza-Hütte , ca. 2400 m . 16 Jul [19]76, R . Doll [as Taraxacum malowitzum sp. nov. Holotypus ! ] ( JE , no. det. 19408, holotype ) . Specimens of the OM:—The OM of T. malowitzum consists of a single herbarium specimen, the one photographed on Plate LXXV. There are two leaf rosettes, perhaps originally forming a single one, with ripe achenes available. The specimen represents the holotype . Conclusion:—The distinctive characters of achenes on the type specimen of T. malowitzum make it possible to equate this name with the earlier T. amborum Haglund (1934: 25) .
