Habitat.
Despites be widely distributed throughout
Brazil

is regionally rare and uncommon (

). Roosting in mines, caves, and rarely in hollow trees (
Greenhall

. 1984
). Feeds on blood, mainly from birds. We collected
one specimen
in a pasture field near to limestone outcrops (
