In Brazil it occurs in the states of Bahia , Ceará , Espírito Santo , Minas Gerais , Mato Grosso , Mato Grosso do Sul , Pernambuco , Paraná , Rio de Janeiro , Santa Catarina , and São Paulo ( Reis et al . 2007 ). Habitat. Inhabits forest areas, being commonly found near rivers, lakes and swamps, being also found near outcrops ( Reis et al . 2007 ). Roosts in caves, mines, hollow logs, buildings, and culverts in colonies of up to 50 individuals. All our specimens were captured in a pasture field near to limestone outcrops ( 14 o 30’ 25.4” S , 46 o 43’ 51.5” W ) in Alvorada do Norte, GO. Voucher specimens. One adult female – CHUNB 1265 ; one adult male – CHUNB 1283 .
