A large colony was discovered in a cave system in the Cheringoma plateau (Appendix I). Peak echolocation frequencies ranged between 64–66 kHz (ANABAT, n = 2) which are similar to the peak frequencies recorded in Southern Africa (61–65 kHz — Schoeman and Jacobs, 2008 ; Monadjem et al. , 2010 ).
