Pygofer lobe strongly sclerotized, with macrosetae at its lower basal angle or not. Dorsal appendage long and lamellate, moveable, articulated to the lobe, ventral appendage absent. Subgenital plate curved dorsad apically, slightly surpassing hind margin of pygofer lobe; broad basally, tapering to middle, subparallel-sided from middle to apex and rounded apically; with a row of marginal microsetae from subbase to apex, several macrosetae in midventral part and rigid microsetae scattered on distal disc. Style with shape of apex various, with several sensory pits near preapical lobe. Connective V- or U-shaped. Aedeagal shaft tubular, usually with pair of processes apically (exception:
A. drepanoides
