Head slightly narrower than pronotum. Vertex blunt, slightly produced medially, with coronal suture present, its middle length less than interocular width. Eyes grey or black. Face usually concolorous, without conspicuous spots or streaks. Frontoclypeal area convex, anteclypeus long and lora small. Pronotum about twice length of vertex, anterior margin convex and posterior margin slightly concave. Forewing semitransparent, with 1 st apical cell broad, 2 nd apical cell narrow, slightly wider at apex than at base, and 4 th apical cell quite small not reaching apex of forewing; hind wing venation as Erythroneurini . Abdominal apodemes short and broad. Pygofer lobe strongly sclerotized, with macrosetae at its lower basal angle or not. Dorsal appendage long and lamellate, moveable, articulated to the lobe, ventral appendage absent. Subgenital plate curved dorsad apically, slightly surpassing hind margin of pygofer lobe; broad basally, tapering to middle, subparallel-sided from middle to apex and rounded apically; with a row of marginal microsetae from subbase to apex, several macrosetae in midventral part and rigid microsetae scattered on distal disc. Style with shape of apex various, with several sensory pits near preapical lobe. Connective V- or U-shaped. Aedeagal shaft tubular, usually with pair of processes apically (exception: A. drepanoides Lin & Zhang sp. nov. ), gonopore subbasal to subapical on ventral surface, preatrium processes well developed, dorsal apodeme narrow and long.
