Paratypes : 4 males , the same data as the holotype ; 1 male , Tam Dao, Tonkin ( A. Duport ) (MWM/ ZSM ) . Diagnosis and description : see under the genus. Distribution . The new species is only known from North Vietnam ( Vĩnh Phúc Province ). Etymology . ‘Paraxenos’ is a Latin transliteration of the Greek word ‘παράξενος’ meaning ‘strange’. The specific epithet refers to the peculiar structure of its aedeagus.
