Etymology.
The specific name refers to the
type
locality. It is to be treated as a noun in apposition.
Diagnosis.
The species is closest to
C. simplex
comb. rest.
, by the presence of strong sclerotized setae in the inner paturon of male chelicerae (
Fig. 23E
). Differs from this species by the smaller eyes and proportionally higher clypeus (
Figs 5D
,
6C
,
23E
) and by the presence of a pedicelar ridge with two downward directed denticles (
Fig. 23G
) which is totally absent in
C. simplex
comb. rest.
(
Figs 4A, F
).
Description. Male
(
PBI
_OON 38149). Total length: 1.89. CEPHALOTHORAX:
Carapace
orange-brown, broadly oval in dorsal view, pars cephalica strongly elevated in lateral view, surface of elevated portion of pars cephalica granulate, sides granulate; lateral margin without denticles.
Clypeus
straight in front view, high, ALE separated from edge of carapace by their radius or more, twice ALE diameter.
Eyes
relatively small, all subequal; ALE separated by more than their diameter, PLE-PME separated by PME radius to PME diameter.
Sternum
orangebrown, fused to carapace, furrow wrinkled, surface rugose, microsculpture everywhere but front, anterior margin with semicircular depression in the middle half, posterior margin not extending posteriorly of coxae IV; setae originating from surface.
Mouthparts:
Chelicerae, endites and labium orange-brown. Chelicerae anterior face unmodified, two pairs of strong medial setae; retromargin without teeth; fangs without tooth-like projections; paturon inner margin with pairs of enlarged setae, laminate groove absent. Labium anterior margin indented at middle. Endites anteromedian part forming a groove between serrula and the apical portion. ABDOMEN: pointed posteriorly; dorsum soft portions pale white. Book lung covers slightly elevated. Pedicel scuto-pedicel region with W-shaped scutal ridge, plumose setae lateral of pedicel, very few plumose setae; scutal ridge weak; two small downward directed denticles not originating on the main scutal ridge. Dorsal scutum orange-brown, middle surface granulate, sides granulate. Postepigastric scutum orange-brown, almost semicircular, fused to epigastric scutum, without posteriorly directed lateral apodemes, with clear seam at furrow. Spinneret scutum large. LEGS: orange-brown. GENITALIA: Epigastric region with sperm pore circular, situated in front of anterior spiracles, rebordered. Palp proximal segments orange-brown. Conductor narrowing towards end (
Fig. 23H
). Embolar tip with embolar distal process short and translucent, embolar prolateral process filiform with distal tip narrow and subdistally downwards curved (
